TN: DMK functionary killed in road accident

Tiruchirapalli, Sep 15: A 27-year-old Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) functionary was killed on the spot and three others were injured in a road accident here on their way to the party's State conference at Pudukkottai.

Police said Ilangovan, party's Ulundurpet Union Secretary, and other party workers were proceeding to Pudukkottai in a van when a tipper lorry collided with it at Kondayampettai on the Tiruchirapalli-Chennai bypass road here yesterday.

The injured were admitted to the Government Headquarters Hospital here.
