Veteran trade union leader Ramajayam passed away

Chennai, Sep 14 (UNI) Veteran trade union leader and former DMK MLA N P Ramajayam died at a private hospital here today after a brief illness.

He was 70 and is survived by his wife and two sons.

Mr Ramajayam underwent a bypass surgery recently and was not discharged from the hospital.

As an employee of the leading English Daily 'The Hindu', he had served the organisation for five decades.

He had served as General Secretary of The Hindu Employees Union for 32 years.
