Tiger found dead: forest officials tighten vigil

Mysore, Sep 14 (UNI) The forest officials at Nagarahole National Park are on high alert, following the unnatural death of a tiger in the forest two days back.

Official sources told UNI today that carcass of the tiger, aged between 10 to 12 years, was found in Kattepale forest area in the park.

It was believed that the tiger was injured after it got trapped in a snare, used for catching animals and birds.

However, the tiger's skin and nails were found to be intact, the sources said.

A thorough investigation would be conducted to ascertain the actual cause of the death, the sources added.
