Spencer's Retail to invest Rs 2,000 cr in expanding stores

New Delhi, Sep 14 (UNI) RPG Group's retail outlet brand Spencer's Retail today said it will invest Rs 2,000 crore in the next 2-3 years for expansion and renovation of its stores.

''We will invest about Rs 2,000 crore to raise our stores to 1,000 by the year-end from existing 450 and to renovate our existing units,'' company's Vice President (North) Satyaki Ghosh told UNI.

The company has earmarked 17 million sq ft area to set up the retail stores across the country, he said adding that the expansion will be funded through internal accurals.
