Ramsethu affidavit episode govt's ploy to mislead SC: Modi
Gandhinagar, Sep 14 (UNI) Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today said the UPA government's act of filing an affidavit in the Supreme Court questioning the existence of Lord Rama and later withdrawing it was ''an attempt to mislead the apex court''.
Terming the whole episode an ''insult'' to the Constitution, Mr Modi said the Central government mentioned in its affidavit that the Ramayana and the Ramsethu were only myths and had no bearing on reality.
''If that was the contention of the government then why did they agree unconditionally to revise it?'' he asked.
