Rajasthan Assembly session from Sep 18

Jaipur, Sep 14 (UNI) The ruling Bharatiya Janta Party(BJP) and the Opposition Congress were busy finalising their strategy for the brief monsoon session of the Rajasthan State Assembly scheduled to begin from September 18.

While the Congress was doing homework to bring the Vasundhara Raje Government to the dock in the House, the ruling party was gearing itself up to present its strong face and defend the government effectively.

The BJP MLAs will brief about the party's strategy at the legislature party's meeting scheduled to be held at state Chief Minister's official residence on Septmeber 17, the Government Chief Whip Mahaveer Prasad Jain told UNI here today.

The Congress Legislature Party(CLP) will meet on September 18 afternoon in the Assembly complex after the opening day proceedings of the House, CLP Leader Ram Narain Choudhary said.

Mr Choudhary said the session was unlikely to last for long but his party would try to utilise the time available to it to dock the government and to expose its ''failure'' in providing good governance to the people.

The ruling party itself was a divided house and the opposition Congress did not require to do much to expose ''insensitive'' and ''incapable'' government, even then his party would discharge the role of a responsible opposition.
