Private school demands proper academic calendar

Imphal, Sep 14 (UNI) The All Manipur Government Recognised Private Schools Welfare Association called upon the state government to maintain proper academic calendar and policy.

The President of the Association, Shyama Khaba said the academic atmosphere was affected by the prevailing situation in the state and urged all to help in bringing about a standard education.

The Association had decided to launch an awareness programme under the slogan, "Make education a free zone, make education a peace zone".

As a part of the campaign, sit-in-protest and silent rallies will be organise soon and urged all to exempt education related matters from bandh and exhorbitant taxes levied by various organisations.
