One arrested with 2,000 bottles of Recoden

Moga, Sept 14 (UNI) Local police has recovered 2,000 bottles of Recoden being used as drug from a chemist who was carrying the bottles in a van here last night.

The Police today said that last night during patrolling the police intercepted a Maruti Van and on search of the van recovered 2,000 bottles of Recoden being used as drug. However, the chemist identified as Gopal Krishan, who runs a shop in Dharamkot, managed to escape while the driver of the van identified as Rakesh Kumar was nabbed.

Police investigation revealed that the alleged accused after collecting the stock from a local drug manufactures was taking the stock to Dharmkot to sell it to the addicted youths of the area.

A case under NDPS Act was registered against both the alleged accused and the van was impounded by the police.
