Kolkata, Sep 14 (UNI) The Milli Ittehad Parishad (MIP) has called a bandh across West Bengal in the second week of November with a demand to cancel the visa of controversial author Taslima Nasreen, recover the Wakf property and recognise Madrasas.

MIP joint secretary and West Bengal Jamayat Ullema Hind general secretary Siddiquallah Chaudhury and president of All India Minority Forum Idris Ali here yesterday said in a statement that the exact date of the bandh would be intimated later, adding a large convention comprising lakh of people would be organised after Eid in the city.

They alleged that Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee had underestimated and neglected Muslims in West Bengal regarding the case of Taslima Nasreen and other issues.

The Chief Minister had attempted to create division among the Muslims in the State, they further alleged.
