Lightning claims two lives in Akola, 2 boys drowned

Akola, Maharashtra, Sep 14 (UNI) Two brothers were killed after being struck by lightning while two boys drowned in a pond in separate incidents in this district.

Vinayak Mahadeo Bhonde (35) and his brother Dinkar Mahadeo Bhonde (40) were killed when lightning struck them at Khirpuri village yesterday. The brothers were working in a field at that time. Their mother Kamlabai (70) and another woman, Asha Shrikrishna Dandle (40), were injured, police said.

Two boys were drowned in a pond at Paranda village yesterday, police said. The boys have been identified as Aakash Shriram Sonone (10) and Juned Mehboob Pathan (12).
