Leopard scares inmates of a residential school

Bangalore, Sep 14 (UNI) A leopard with its two little cubs has become a cause of concern to the inmates of a residential school housing over 1000 students in the outskirts of the city.

The leopard was found moving in the sprawling campus of the school in search for food from nearby Bannerghatta National Park, about 20 km from the city.

The school authorities had alerted them of the presence of the animal and pug marks of the mother and the cubs were well visible in the campus where heavy rain had lashed yesterday, said the police.

However the animal has stayed out and had not attacked or hurt any one in the 60-acre Layola school campus.

Forest department personnel are planning to catch the leopard by placing a cage and bait.
