Hoax bomb calls at AP school, bus depot

Vijayawada, Sep 14 (UNI) Two hoax bomb calls were received today at a bus station and a school in this district of Andhra Pradesh.

Panic gripped passengers at the Pandit Nehru Bus Depot after an anonymous caller warned of a bomb which could go off at any moment.

Bomb disposal teams and a sniffer dog squad rushed to the spot immediately and conducted search with metal detectors for an hour. However, no explosives were found.

Similar scene was witnessed at the Bishop Girls School after it received a hoax bomb call saying the explosive was planted in the school premises.
