Haryana reconstitutes Sainik Samman Samiti

Chandigarh, Sep 14 (UNI) The Haryana government has reconstituted the Haryana Swatantarta Sainik Samman Samiti with its Headquarter at Chandigarh with immediate effect.

The government has also re-appointed Freedom Fighter Puran Chand Azad of Rohtak as a Chairman of the samiti for a period of six months from September 10 to March 9.

An official spokesman said that the main purpose of the samiti was to scrutinise and help in the preparation of cases of freedom fighters to be sent to the Central government for the grant of pension.
