Govt to implement election promises: Rajasekhara Reddy

Guntur, Sep 14 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said his government would implement the election promises like free electricity to farmers and old age pension in the state.

Addressing a Grama Sabha at naxal-affected Kottapalli village here, Dr Reddy said the Self Help Women groups in Andhra Pradesh would be provided loans to the tune of Rs 700 crore for their economic independence.

Dr Reddy said all eligible persons would be provided with old age pension and the government would provide cooking gas connections to the poor in the state.
