Dalit beaten up for refusing donation for Ramlila

Guna(MP), Sep 14: A Dalit was beaten up by a group of caste-Hindus for refusing to give donation for 'Ramlila' programme, police said today.

The incident took place at village Roopahaidi near Chachoda in this district yesterday when a group led by Babu Lodhi beat up Gulab Singh after an altercation over refusing to give donation.

On a complaint, police registered cases against ten people for rioting and assaulting a Dalit, but no arrest had been made so far, police said.
