BJP demands withdrawal of affidavit on Ram Sethu

Chennai, Sep 14 (UNI) The BJP today staged a demonstration here, demanding the withdrawal of the affidavit filed by the Centre before the Supreme Court on the Ramsethu Bridge under the Sethusamudram Shipping Channel Project (SSCP).

The slogan-shouting demonstration, held in front of the Chennai collectorate, was led by former BJP president M Venkaiah Naidu and BJP state unit president L Ganesan.

Addressing the party workers, Mr Naidu condemned the Union government for its 'unnecessary' remarks in the affidavit about the bridge and Lord Ram's existence and demanded its immediate withdrawal with action against the responsible ministers.
