60 year old man gets 10 year life imprisonment for raping a minor

Dholpur, Sept 14(UNI) A fast track court here today sentenced a 60 year-old-man to ten-year rigorous imprisonment for raping a minor.

The Court also imposed a fine of Rs 7500 for raping nine-year-old girl.

Additional public prosecutor Bhawani Singh Naroliya said the incident took place in Basodi ke Dhor village under Basodi police station on December 14, 2006. The victim's father filed a complaint with the police in this regard against Vasundev Thakur, saying he had lured the girl to Siddh Matha Mandir in the village in the guise of distributing 'prasad' and raped her. Later, the girl was found bleeding in the temple by the relatives.

The Additional District Magistrate( Fast Track -II)Anoop Kumar sentenced Vasundev to ten years of imprisonment.
