3 dead, 25 others hospitalised after consuming contaminated water

Ambala, Sep 14 (UNI) Three people died and 25 others were hospitalised after they consumed contaminated water here today.

The deceased were identified as Prakasho Devi (60), Anil Jain (46) and Faujdar Singh (40).

The victims complained of vomiting and loose motions and were admitted in the civil hospital here. About 50 people in half a dozen localities, especially in the slum of the cantonment area, were affected due to the supply of contaminated water.

The Deputy Commissioner visited the affected localities and ordered an inquiry into the incident.
