Two killed in Kerela building collapse

Kochi, Sept 13 (UNI) Two people were killed and one seriously injured when an old building, being used as a lodge, collapsed at the Ernakulam Jetty late last night.

The deceased were identified as Netto, 24 and Babuli, 20 both labourers from Orissa, said the police this morning.

The seriously injured labourer Pappan, 24 who also hails from Orissa has been admitted at 'Specialist Hospital' in Ernakulam.

Three or four other labourers are also said to have sustained minor injuries.

Around 30 labourers were staying in the two storey building which collapsed at around 2300 hrs, added the police.
