GoM on Immoral Trafficking Amendment Bill: Cabinet

New Delhi, Sep 13 (UNI) The Cabinet today referred to a Group of Ministers the proposed amendment to the Immoral Trafficking (Prevention) Act.

The issue would be reviewed again by the GoM and brought back to the Cabinet, Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi told reporters.

The proposed Sati (Prevention) Act would also be re-examined, particularly the technical issues involved in it, he said.

The issue of life insurance through rural post office could not be taken up at today's Cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, as Communication and IT Minister A Raja was not present.
