Pilot, trainee killed in IAF plane crash

Hyderabad, Sept 11, 2007: An Indian Air Force pilot and a trainee died in a plane crash in Hyderabad today morning. The IAF Kiran trainer plane crashed in the early hours within minutes of taking off from the Hakimpet airbase, about 25 km from Hyderabad, killing both.

The two killed have been identified as Squadron Leader Bhagat and trainee pilot S C Pathi. IAF official says that the reason of the crash will be known only after an enquiry.
