Two persons killed, cattle perish in lorry capsize
Mysore, Sep 12 (UNI) Two persons were killed and two others were injured when a cattle laden lorry fell into a roadside ditch on Mysore-H D Kote road near here today.
Police said 19 cattle, allegedly being smuggled to Kerala, also perished in the mishap.
The driver of the lorry was identified as Gopala Gowda, while the other victim yet to be identified.
Two loaders from Hassan district, who were injured, had been admitted to a private hospital in the city.
The incident occurred when the driver of the lorry was trying to escape a police interception and lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a turn near a bridge on the outskirts of the city.
