FLAG to provide data connectivity for CERN-TIFR

New Delhi, Sep 12 (UNI) Reliance Communications Ltd said its subsidiary, FLAG Telecom Group Ltd, has signed an agreement with Conseil Europeen pour la Recherche Nucleaire (CERN), European organisation for Nuclear Research, to provide gigabit ethernet connectivity between its Geneva centre and Mumbai-based Tata Institute of Fundamental Research.

No financial details were given, a company statement said.

The work done by FLAG will enable the TIFR to fully collaborate as part of the Worldwide LHC Computing Grid, which involves over 150 institutes around the globe in the storage and analysis of scientific data, David Foster, CERN's head of networking and communications systems said in a statement.
