UP: Controversial MLA's wife commits suicide

Lucknow, Sep 12: In a sensentional case, wife of Janta Dal (United) MLA Dhananjay Singh committed suicide at her residence in Gomti Nagar locality of the state capital today.

Minu Singh, 25, committed suicide at her residence in Viram Khand by hanging, confirmed SSP Lucknow Akhil Kumar. Prima facie, she committed suicide following a domestic tiff.

Relatives found the body of Minu hanging from a fan this morning and was immediately rushed to the Mayo hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.

Criminal-turned-politician Dhananjay had married Minu in December 2006.

However, the MLA from Rari seat was said to be out of Lucknow.
