Benazir may also be deported: PPP

Lahore, Sep 12: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairwoman Benazir Bhutto may also have to face deportation like Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif, PPP member of National Assembly Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan has said.

Commenting on the Supreme Courts verdict in Sharif"s case, Aitzaz said that the judiciary was not as strong under military rule as it had been during non-military Governments.

Criticising the Saudi Government"s role in Sharif"s deportation, he said that by deporting Sharif, the Pakistan Government got involved in “forced human smuggling".

Talking about much touted Bhutto-Musharraf power-sharing deal, Aitzaz said; one should not negotiate with a military ruler.

“Bhutto is a shrewd politician and aware of President Pervez Musharraf"s weak position," the Daily Times quoted him, as saying.
