Wakf-run school locked by agitated parents in Ambala

Ambala, Sept 11 (UNI) Agitated parents of the students of Iqbal Model School here today locked the school building in protest against the alleged mismanagement by the Haryana Wakf Board.

Led by Muslim Welfare Society president Imran Khan, agitated parents alleged that the certificates issued by the school to the passing out students were not accepted by other institutions.

They alleged that the students were made to appear in the examination held through National Open School and the certificates issued to the students were not recognised by other educational institutions at the time of admission in higher classes.

''The future of our children is at stake, hence we have locked the school,'' the angry parents said.

Meanwhile, a delegation of school teachers, headed by headmistress Reena, met the HWB authorities to bring the matter to their notice, sources here said.
