Tally launches 'earn while you learn' programme

Bangalore, Sep 11 (UNI) Tally (India) Private Limited, a leading Accounting Software major today launched an 'earn while you learn' programme 'pragati' to minimise the gap between education and employability.

Speaking after the launch, Company Chief Executive Officer (Education and Training Business), Avinesh Gupta told newspersons that the Tally, one of the biggest vocational training provider in the country, had been imparting training to 2,50,000 people every year, and 'Pragati' was aimed at empowering the youth with a unique opportunity of multi-pronged benefits.

''Students enrolling for 'Pragati' not only get an opportunity to hone their skills as Tally Certified Accounting Professionals, thereby enhancing their employability, but also become self-reliant.

They would also get to experience real-life entrepreneurial skills depending on their career-aspirations, he added.

He said Tally had more than two million customers spread across 90 countries and 1,800 training centres in India, largely in Universities and Colleges under Industry-Academia collaboration.

To a question, he said the training period ranged between 45 to 90 days and it was aimed to enrol one million students in the country within the next 45 days. The fees was Rs 5,400.

Mr Gupta said the Tally would provide a cash prize of Rs one million to the best students during the training with the first prize being Rs 50,000.

The students would be given participation certificate on the completion of Tally Financial Accounting Certification Assessment Test and their names would be included in the web for seizing global employment opportunity.
