State creating quality education inrastructure:CM

Shimla Sep 11 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today said quality educational infrastructure is being created to cater to the emerging global trends and to equip students with globally acceptable degrees and diplomas.

Addressing the annual function of the Government Senior Secondary school, Chhota Shimla, he said education sector had been a revolution in the state and was being developed as knowlege of the country.

The vast network of educational institution being created over these yeas years was making educational facilities available to the students near to their homes and efforts had been made to open higher educational centres within the approachable distances he said.

He said that the state had over 72 degree colleges in the government sector out of which about two dozen were opened during current term of the government.

The higher educational centres in the rural areas had helped immensely the girl students who otherwise were fipled to leave their education.

Director of Higher Education Anita Rao who was also present on occasion he said the process of consolidation of the educational network was being implemented in letter and spirit. The quality infrastructure was being provided inevery education institutionin a time bound manner.
