Rupee opens at 40.60/62 per dollar

Mumbai, Sep 11: Rupee opened at 40.60/62 per dollar, nearly six paise up from the last close, though dealers opted to call it a dull start in the forex market today.

The unit, which ended two paise up at 40.66/67 per dollar yesterday, is currently(1200 hrs) trading at 40.57/58 per dollar, said dealers.

During the intra-day, rupee hit a high of 40.54 per dollar.
