Overcast sky in Kolkata and adjoining areas

Kolkata, Sep 11 (UNI) The sky remained cloudy today for the major part of the day with trace rainfall in some areas of the city.

The Alipore Met office recorded a maximum temperature of 31.4 degrees Celsius, one degree below normal while the minimum was 25.8 degrees Celsius.

The rainfall recorded was about 3.7 mm.

The relative humidity was high at 95 per cent.

The Met office forecast a generally cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thunder showers in some areas in the next 24 hours.
