Middle-aged couple commits suicide in UP

Lucknow, Sep 11: A middle-aged couple today allegedly committed suicide in Raja-ji-puram area of the Uttar Pradesh capital.

The bodies of Sunil Dutt Sharma (50) and Vinod Kumari (48) were found in their house.

While, Sunil had apparently ended his life by jumping from the terrace, his wife's body bore cut marks on her throat.

In a suicide note found from Sunil, he blamed nobody for taking the extreme step.

He was employed as a clerk in the census department.

In his another letter addressed to the district magistrate, Sunil had donated his eyes, which were later taken out.

In 1985, Sunil had married Vinod Kumari, who was also posted in the same department.

Although, police said prima facie cas appeared to be of a suicide but other angles were also being investigated.
