LCC eyes Rs 40 crore turnover in PC sales

by
selling
up
to
40,000
personal
computers
(PC)
next
year.
In a communique to BSE, company said it has forayed into the personal computer business, with its maiden market in Orissa and will sell computers at Rs 9,999 per unit to tap the growing PC market in the country.
It has launched a range of PCs like Intel based celeron, PIV, Dual core and Core 2 duo PC targeting middle and lower income classes.
Also, in a bid to cater to the requirement of the upper class customers, company also plans to launch laptop in next two months.
Laptop sales accounted for 6.1 per cent of the total PC sales in 2004-05 in India posting an increase of 12.2 per cent in 2005-06 and 20 per cent in last fiscal.
