Lawyers boycott courts over attack on advocate

Tiruchirapalli, Sep 11 (UNI) Functioning of courts in the city and elsewhere in the district were affected today as a section of the lawyers boycotted the courts in response to a decision taken by the Bar Association to go on an indefinte strike.

The lawyers in the city, Thuraiyur, Musiri, Manapari and Lalgudi boycotted the courts to protest against the attack on advocate Sivakumar at his office at suburban Tiruverumbur on September 8.

The Bar also decided not to attend the courts until the police arrested the culprits.
