Electronic parks will be set up in Kochi, T'puram: Minister
Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 11 (UNI) The State Government has started preliminary work for setting up electronic industrial centres in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala Industries Minister Elamaram Kareem informed the Assembly today.
In a written reply to Mr P T A Rahim (CPM-IND) and others, he said, ''the government had already identified 250 acres of land in Kochi and 2,261 acres of land here for the purpose.'' The committee, constituted by the government for setting up the 'electronic hubs' in the state had already submitted its report in February, according to the Minister.
Based on the report, the government is taking steps to set up the electronic hubs, he added.
Mr Kareem also said that discussions for garnering investment for the electronic hubs were on with big industrialists.
