'Bright prospects for India in health, biotechnology sectors'
Ahmednagar, Sep 11 (UNI) Former Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) director general Dr Raghunath Mashelkar has expressed confidence that India will make tremendous progress in agriculture, health and biotechnology sectors.
He was speaking to reporters at Kopargaon after visiting the Shirdi temple near here.
He informed that at the behest of Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, Indian Institutes of Science and Education would be set up in Pune, Kolkata and Mohali.
Referring to the vast wastelands in the country, Dr Mashelkar said the land could be used for the cultivation of Jatropha to provide bio-diesel.
