''UPA government's move to demolish Ram Setu, is a matter of faith for crores of Hindus throughout the world and the decision has hurt the sentiments of the community,'' Manch leader Tarni Taran said.
''The Shiv Sena has also supported the strike call. ''Protecting Hindu culture is our right and we support the bandh call in favour of Ram Setu,'' Sena's state president Rajesh Gupta said.
Several Saffron organisations have alleged that the decision to demolish Ram Setu had been taken by the UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi at the behest of the Vatican Pope to erode the ancient Indian culture.
