Ancient idol of Lord Krishna recovered from Gomti river

Sultanpur, Sep 11 (UNI) An ancient idol of Lord Krishna, worth crores of rupees, has been recovered from the river Gomti in Kadipur area here.

''On September 8, the idol of Lord Krishna was spotted by some boatmen near Dhopap dham,'' Senior Police Superintendent (eastern) Santosh Kumar Singh today said.

The idol, weighing about 10 kgs is 200 years old.
