Al Batterjee group to set up Manufacturing Facility in India
Bangalore, Sep 11 (UNI) Saudi based Al Batterjee Group, a business conglomerate with an annual turnover of over USD 200 Million, making a foray into India by setting up a manufacturing facility and enter Information Technology and Hospitality sectors.
In a press release issued here today, Mr Sheikh Mazen Mohammed Batterjee, Vice Chairman of the group said that the company was focusing India as a major outlet for their health care products and hence decided to set up a manufacturing facility.
He said that the group was interested in making investment of over USD 100 million in both IT and Hospitality sectors.
The group initially has plans to introduce its Nunu range of baby care products, one of the leading baby care brands in West Asia. The Nunu baby care products includes the entire spectrum of products baby shampoo, baby powder, baby soap, baby lotions, baby oil, baby wipes and others. The group estimates to reach a sales turnover of over Rs 20 crores from baby care products during the first year of operations in India.
Mr Batterjee said that the group also signed MOU's with Lloyd Steel India, for the manufacture of various steel products and another MOU with a Mumbai based Unitech Group for logistics operations in Saudi Arabia. The project was expected to have an investment of over USD 50 million, the release added.
