Twenty-three killed in Mexico truck blast

MONTERREY, Mexico, Sep 10 (Reuters) At least 23 people were killed when a truck loaded with explosives crashed into another truck in an accident in northern Mexico, Mexican media reported today.

The blast left a crater of up to 65 feet (20 meters) in diameter in the road in the northern state of Coahuila, the El Universal daily said on its Web site.

Most of the dead were bystanders or journalists who were killed when they rushed to the scene of the crash and the truck exploded, the paper said.
