Seven US soldiers killed in Baghdad accident

BAGHDAD, Sep 10 (Reuters) Seven US soldiers were killed and 11 injured in a vehicle accident in western Baghdad today, the US military said.

It said two suspects being transported in the vehicle were also killed. The military said the cause of the accident was under investigation.

While US soldiers are periodically killed in nonbattle-related circumstances in Iraq, such a high toll from one accident on the ground is rare.

There were no further details.
