Nikkei open down 1.3 pc on Wall St. and firm yen

Tokyo, Sept 10: Japan's Nikkei average fell 1.3 percent on Monday with exporters such as Sony Corp down on a fall in Wall Street and the yen's gain against the dollar.

As of 0001 GMT, the benchmark Nikkei <.n225> was down 215.64 points at 15,906.52. The broader TOPIX index <.topx> shed 1.32 percent or 20.55 points to 1,536.47.
