Two killed, 11 injured in Jammu road mishaps

Jammu, Sep 9 (UNI) At least two people were killed and eleven others injured in two separate road accident in Jammu and Kashmir today.

Police said one person died and eleven others were injured when an overcrowded mini bus skidded off the road and overturned on the outskirts of the city.

The bus was on its way from Paloura to the City when the driver lost control of the vehicle and it overturned near Toph Shekhaniya, police added.

The deceased has been identified as Ajay Kumar Khajuria, a resident of Patoli, who died on the spot while the injured were immediately shifted to the Government Medical College.

A teenager died after he was hit by vehicle at Amar Chashma on the National Highway near Batote in Udhampur District, police said.

The boy identified as Mohan Singh, resident of Amar Chashma succumbed to his injuries after he was shifted to a Batote hospital.
