Rs 186 cr plan for medical, tech education in UP
Jaunpur, Sep 9 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh government has prepared a Rs 186 crore plan for the development of technical, medical and homeopathic education in the state.
It is further stipulated that the work on the plan would be completed in the current financial year.
Addressing newspersons here today, textiles minister Jagdish Narayan said more engineering institutes would be set up and basic facilities expanded for the development of technical education in the state.
Two medical colleges are also proposed to be set-up in Ambedkarnagar and Saharanpur districts.
Besides, two homeopathy medical colleges would also be opened.
To promote education among Schedule Caste (SC) and Schedule Tribe (ST), Rs 76 crore would be provided for the welfare of colleges running on Ashram model, he added.
