Police inquiry against untouchability incident in MP

Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh, Sep 9 (UNI) A police inquiry has been ordered into a 10-year-old dalit girl being driven away -- on account of being ''untouchable'' -- while playing at a temple platform at this district's Kushiyara village.

''A complaint was lodged yesterday by the victim's family about one Ramnarayan allegedly stopping Babita Jatav from playing, thrashing her and driving her away recently,'' Superintendent of Police Dinesh Chandra Sharma said here today.
