PDTT launched in Tripura

Agartala, Sep 9:The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) at Tripura with National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) here today launched the Participatory Demonstration of Tuber crops Technologies (PDTT) project.

ICAR (Tripura Centre) Joint Director Dr N P Singh said the project would help alleviate poverty and malnutrition among the villagers, especially in tribal-dominated areas.

He underlined that tuber crops were also included in Technology Mission and National Rural Employment Guarantee Schemes to ensure sustainability of the project.
