Nepal's pro monarchy Hindu party claims to make greater Nepal

Kathmandu, Sep 9 (UNI) Nepal's little known recently registered pro monarchy Hindu party has said it would contest the Constituent Assembly election with the slogan of 'greater Nepal', including some parts of India into Nepali territory and safeguarding monarchy in the Himalayan nation, media reports said.

''By new Nepal, we envision the concept of a greater Nepal that includes Darjeeling, Sikkim, Kumau and Gadhawal as Nepali territory,'' Kantipur quoted Arun Subedi, president of pro monarchist Shivan Sena Nepal party, which was registered in the election commission for the first time.

Gita will be our election manifesto and we will forge an alliance with 19 newly registered political parties, he said.

Hindu fundamentalists have been forging an alliance to contest the Constituent Assembly (CA) election with the common goal of safeguarding monarchy and reverting Nepal to a Hindu state, he added.

''All these parties were not known in the Nepal's political history and recently registered at the election commission. Besides, we have negotiated with Rabindra Nath Sharma and Kamal Thapa of Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Nepal, breakaway faction of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party, which supported the autocratic rule of the King'', Mr Subedi said.

Nepal is going for CA polls on November 22 to write a new constitution that will decide the future course of Nepal and abolish monarchy, as all the major political parties including the Nepali Congress, CPN, UML and Maoists have already said they would go for republic system.
