Montek to attend prog in Allahabad

Allahabad, Sep 8 (UNI) Govind Ballabh Pant Social Science Institute is celebrating its 28th foundation day and 120th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant on September 10 here.

Dr Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Deputy Chairman Planning Commission will be the chief guest of the function.

The function will be presided over by Professor R G Harshe, Allahabad University vice-chancellor.

Mr Ahluwalia will also deliver the 22nd G B Pant Memorial lecture on 'Emerging constrains of India's growth'.

On this occasion, the institute will also honour its former director Prof R C Tripathi and release books authored by faculty members and visiting fellows in the institute, said the registrar of the institute Dr M P Singh here today.
