Uma slams BJP, Cong for deviating from their ideologies

Mandsaur, MP, Sep 8 (UNI) Pointing out that the BJP and the Congress had deviated from their ideologies, Bharatiya Janshakti (BJS) president Uma Bharti today said the BJP leaders were just concerned with accumulating wealth, while the Congress had become slave of a woman of foreign origin.

Addressing a convention of party workers here, Ms Bharti said the leaders of the BJP, which talked about Hindutva, had made accumulating wealth their sole objective.

The BJP Government had deviated from its policies and was following the path of the Congress, the result of which was seen in Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, she said.

The former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister said the Congress -- which fought Britishers to bring independence -- had become slave of a woman of foreign origin.

State BJS president Raghunandan Sharma said the BJP was steeped into corruption. He said he was still firm about the principles on which the BJP was formed despite leaving that party.
