Three arrested for staging fake abduction

Bhind, MP, Sep 8 (UNI) Three people, including two constables, have been arrested on the charge of faking abduction as a part of a conspiracy to free a prisoner.

Superintendent of Police, Niranjan B Vayangadkar said murder accused Mahesh Singh Tomar, who was lodged at Gohad prison, had gone for hearing along with two constables Mewaram and Adhiwaran Singh.

However, they did not return to the jail till late evening.

Meanwhile, information regarding their abduction by five jeep-borne criminals reached police. As per the information, the abductors took away the accused with them but left the two constables and jeep driver Gangaram Mule behind at some distance.

As police jumped into action, the matter of fake abduction was revealed.

Both the constables and the jeep driver have been arrested.

Police had launched a search to track down Mahesh, his son Kallu and one Pradeep besides two unidentified accomplices.
