Palestinian found shot dead in Gaza - medics

GAZA, Sep 8 (Reuters) A 19-year-old Palestinian civilian was found shot dead in the central Gaza Strip today near the border with Israel, Palestinian medics said.

An Israeli army spokeswoman said troops fired warning shots, then shot at four suspects who were approaching the border fence, but did confirm hitting them.

Medical officials said the man was carrying a wooden gun used to shoot at birds, and died of massive blood loss after being shot in the thigh.
